police were called to a marriott where alexis was staying while being a contractor of doing work in newport. he told them he had checked into that which was his third hotel. he was changing hotels. the microwave machine sends vibrations and it was making it impossible for him to sleep. the police say they get reporting like this all the time. they consider these people have have mental problems and don't have anything to do. there is no jurisdiction. they say they did tell the navy about this. they sent a copy of their police report to the navy duty station because alexis said he was a contractor and was in the naval reserve. they support a copy of the report to the naval duty station there, but the navy doesn't know yet what became of that. that's something that the fbi is looking into. a short time later, alexis sought treatment from a va medical center, but it's not clear what he told the va. apparently according to the people we talked to, he said he was having trouble sleeping and didn't say he was hearing voices. it is a disturbing thing happening over a month before the shootings. >>
